Airport Transfer
Trafalgar has
included a free transfer to and from
your London airport and Central London.
Your transfer will be via an express
train link from London Heathrow Airport
to Paddington Station on the Heathrow
Rail Express, and from London Gatwick
Airport to Victoria Station on the
Gatwick Rail Express. Gatwick Express
takes 30 minutes and Heathrow Express
takes only 15 minutes compared to the
one hour plus journey by coach! From
Paddington or Victoria it's a short and
inexpensive journey by taxi to your
London hotel.
Airport/Central London Railway
Station/Airport: Only one included
transfer both inbound and outbound per
tour is included by Trafalgar.
Transfers are by express train to a
Central London Rail Station. From
Central London it's a short and
inexpensive journey by taxi to your
hotel. Heathrow Express operates
between 05:10 – 23:30. Gatwick Express
operates inbound services between
05:20 – 23:45 and outbound services
from 04:30 – 23:45. Transfers out
these
times are at passengers own expense.
For passengers who choose to make
their
own flight arrangements, a transfer
will
be provided at a charge of $25 per
person round trip. Your Travel Agent
must provide Trafalgar accurate flight
details no less that 21 days prior to
tour departure and must arrange your
flight to coincide with our specific
arrival and departure transfer times.
If however, you arrive outside the
scheduled transfer times, then you
must
make your own alternative transfer
arrangements at your own expense.

Depart USA
Overnight transatlantic flight to
London.
- Day 2
Arrive London
Time to relax after checking into your
Trafalgar hotel or you may wish to go
out and explore this exciting city.
- Day 3
London –
Stratford – York – Darlington
Greetings from our Tour Director as we
make our way to Stratford–upon–Avon.
Here we visit the town where
Shakespeare was born before reaching
Viking York. On our arrival,
orientation includes the gothic
Minster, its ancient walls and a
stroll through the 'Shambles'. Then
there's time at leisure before we head
to Darlington. (Continental breakfast/
Dinner)
- Day 4
Darlington –
Durham – Edinburgh (Queensferry)
(2nights) Today it's a short
drive to Durham which is dominated
by its Cathedral and castle. From here
we travel to Hadrian's Wall where we
see the ruins.Then on through the
Northumberland National Park to the
Scotthis border. There's time for a
picture stop at ruined Jedburgh Abbey
as we make our way to Scotland's
elegant capital, Edinburgh for the next
two nights. (Breakfast)
- Day 5
Edinburgh at
leisure Our morning sightseeing
shows us Princes Street, the Royal Mile
and views the castle and Holyrood
House,where Mary Queen of Scots lived.
Then enjoy time at leisure to perhaps
shop for tartans and of course famous
Scotch whisky. (Breakfast)
- Day 6
Edinburgh
(Queensferry) – Aviemore Our day
begins with a drive over the Forth
Bridge to St. Andrews to see the
famous Golf Course. Then we continue
our journey into the scenic Scottish
Highlands past Perth and Pitlochry
reaching Aviemore for dinner and
overnight. (Breakfast/ Dinner)
- Day 7
Aviemore –
Glasgow(Erksine) Today we drive
along the shores of Loch Ness to Fort
William, glimpsing Ben Nevis, Britain's
highest mountain. Next we continue
through infamous Glencoe to Loch Lomond
on our way to Glasgow for the night.

- Day 8
Glasgow
(Erksine) – Grasmere – Preston A
morning orientation tour of Glasgow
features the Cathedral and
George Square. Then, we drive through
the Southern Uplands to Moffat. From
here it's back into England, where
enjoy a scenic drive to the Lake
District, stopping in Grasmere – home
of the poet Wordsworth, before reaching
Preston. (Breakfast/ Dinner)

Preston –
Chester – Bath Our first stop this
morning is in historic Chester. Here we
explore the 'Rows' and admire the
Cathedral. Next off to Stoke–on–Trent
to visit the Wedgwood Pottery Centre.
Then on to Bath. (Breakfast)

Bath – London
This morning we admire Bath's splendid
Georgian architecture before free time
perhaps to visit the Roman Baths. Next
we cross Salisbury Plain stopping to
see the mysterious stone circle at
Stonehenge. Later, our journey brings
us back to London. (Breakfast)

London –
USA Bid farewell on your return
flight to the USA.
