Airport Transfers
Transfers will be provided only for
passengers who have booked our Land +
Air package. Group transfers on arrival
at Frankfurt Airport will
operate at
09:30 and 12:00 . Return transfers
from
the last hotel will arrive at Frankfurt
Airport at 08:30.
For passengers who choose to make
their
own flight arrangements, a transfer
will
be provided at a charge of $25 per
person round trip. Your Travel Agent
must provide Trafalgar accurate flight
details no less that 21 days prior to
tour departure and must arrange your
flight to coincide with our specific
arrival and departure transfer times.
If however, you arrive outside the
scheduled transfer times, then you
must
make your own alternative transfer
arrangements at your own expense.

Agent
for a fee, prior to leaving home. Note
that separate visas are needed for the

| | | Day | Destination | Description | | Day 1 | Depart USA | Overnight transatlantic flight to Frankfurt. | | Day 2 |  Frankfurt | Trafalgar meets you at the airport and transfers you to your hotel. This afternoon an orientation shows us the Romerplatz and Opera house. Later, at a welcome meeting, get to know your fellow travellers and Tour Director. (Dinner) | | Day 3 | Prague | We depart Frankfurt and travel east and stop in the fairytale city of Nuremberg. Time to stroll through the medieval streets, and the many squares with their attractive fountains. Then on to the Czech border and via Pilsen – famous for its beer – to the astonishing city of Prague. (Continental breakfast/ Dinner) | | Day 4 | Prague | This morning's sightseeing features Hradcany Castle, the Cathedral of St. Vitus and the Old Town Square. Later, with time on your own, why not shop for bargains in glass and porcelain or enjoy a lunch cruise on the Vlatva River – Smetana's Moldau? (Continental breakfast/ Dinner) | | Day 5 | Vienna | An early morning start as we travel via Tabor to the Austrian border. Soon we arrive in Vienna where our sightseeing tour shows us the splendours of the Austrian capital including the Opera house, the Parliament, the Hofburg and the City Hall. Tonight, why not enjoy an evening of good food and entertainment in the Vienna Woods? (Continental breakfast) | | Day 6 | Budapest | Free time in Vienna this morning, either to take an excursion to visit Maria Theresa's Schonbrunn Palace or to window shop along the Kartnerstrasse. Driving through Transdanubia, we make a stop in the Roman founded village of Gyor, located on the Danube River, before continuing to the twin cities of Buda and Pest.
(Continental breakfast/ Dinner) | | Day 7 | Budapest | Our sightseeing tour today includes the Fisherman's Bastion, Heroes' Square and the Church of St. Matthias, plus a panoramic view of the city from Gellert Hill. At leisure maybe take a trip to the charming village of Szentendre or visit the Parliament buildings. (Continental breakfast) | | Day 8 | Zagreb | Today, we head past countryside brimming with storks and their nests towards the shores of one of Europe's largest and most romantic lakes – Balaton. Then we make our way to Nagykanizsa and the border with Croatia. Soon we are in Zagreb, the Croatian capital, where sightseeing includes the lower and upper town and shows us the majestic Cathedral, St. Mark's Church and the Opera house. (Continental breakfast/ Dinner) | | Day 9 | Ljublijana | After breakfast we make our way to Slovenia and its capital, Ljublijana. Here sightseeing includes the Opera house, Cathedral, National Museum, Castle and the numerous parks of this Roman–founded city. This evening we will wenjoy a meal of Slovenian cuisine at our hotel. (Continental breakfast/ Dinner) | | Day 10 | Venice | This morning you will have the opportunity to take an excursion to the famous Postojna Caves, a labyrinth of tunnels and gorges. Alternatively you may wish to spend more time in Slovenia's charming capital before leaving this afternoon for the Italian border near Trieste. Finally we arrive in the magical city of Venice. (Continental breakfast/ Dinner) | | Day 11 | Venice | Today starts with an included cruise along the canals by vaporetto to St. Mark's Square. We view the Bridge of Sighs and Doges' Palace before visiting a glass–blowing workshop. Then later perhaps take a trip to see some of the islands in the Venetian Lagoon! (Continental breakfast/ Dinner) | | Day 12 | Venice | Along the Veneto Plain we head towards Milan. Here we turn north to through the Italian Lake District and then into Switzerland at Chiasso. Soon we are crossing Lake Lugano, the Gotthard range of mountains and driving along the shores of the Lake of the Four Cantons to arrive in picturesque Lucerne. (Continental breakfast/ Dinner) | | Day 13 | Munich | Our first stop is in the Principality of Liechtenstein. We continue to the Austrian border at Feldkirch and drive through the Arlberg range before arriving in the Tyrolean capital Innsbruck where orientation shows us the Golden roof in the old town. Finally into German Bavaria and the fun–loving city of Munich! (Continental breakfast/ Dinner) | | Day 14 | Munich | Orientation of Germany's 'secret captial' shows us the Hofbrauhaus, Marienplatz and the Glockenspiel. Then free time to explore the city further or to take an excursion into the Bavarian countryside to one of Mad king Ludwig's extravagant castles and to the Passion play village of Oberammergau. (Continental breakfast) | | Day 15 | Frankfurt | Through the hills of Bavaria to the city of Ulm, where we will see the Cathedral with the tallest spire in the world. Then via Stuttgart to Heidelberg where we view the red sandstone castle from the old University town. Then on to the Rhine Valley where we visit the wine–town of Rudesheim with its pretty half–timbered houses and narrow quaint streets. Finally we arrive in Frankfurt. (Continental breakfast) | | Day 16 | Return USA | 'Auf Wiedersehen' as we transfer you to the airport for your return flight to the USA. (Continental breakfast) |
