Airport Transfers
Transfers will be provided only for
passengers who have booked our Land +
Air package. Group transfers on arrival
at Rome Airport will
operate at
09:30, 12:30 and 15:30. Return transfers
from
the last hotel will arrive at Rome
Airport at 07:00 and 09:30.
For passengers who choose to make their
own flight arrangements, a transfer
will
be provided at a charge of $25 per
person round trip. Your Travel Agent
must provide Trafalgar accurate flight
details no less that 21 days prior to
tour departure and must arrange your
flight to coincide with our specific
arrival and departure transfer times.
If however, you arrive outside the
scheduled transfer times, then you must
make your own alternative transfer
arrangements at your own expense.

Then you have time to relax or begin to explore this fascinating city. Romans live and love life to the full – so remember, when in Rome
! | | Day 3 | Rome | Our morning sightseeing includes the Forum, Colosseum and St. Peter's Basilica. Later, free time to perhaps visit the Catacombs or watch gesticulating Romans from pavement cafés. (Continental breakfast) | | Day 4 | Bay of Naples | Today we head past the Abbey of Monte Cassino to the Bay of Naples, along the magnificent coastline to the Bay of Naples for two nights. This afternoon, why not visit the excavations of Pompeii, the town literally petrified by the eruption of Vesuvius in AD 79? (Continental breakfast/ Dinner) | | Day 5 | Sorrento | Today we drive to the nearby resort of Sorrento to visit an inlaid wood workshop. Then free time to shop on the Piazza Tasso before maybe taking an optional excursion to the enchanting Isle of Capri. This former summer home of Roman Emperors is alive with colour and character. This evening we return to our hotel for dinner.(Continental breakfast/ Dinner) | | Day 6 | Assisi | Today we head to mystic Umbria and the city of Assisi. Our orientation includes St. Francis' Basilica, renowned for its fresco paintings. (Continental breakfast/ Dinner) | | Day 7 | Venice | Now to the Adriatic Coast and San Marino, in its spectacular site on the slopes of Mount Titano. Then on to Venice, where you may wish to enjoy a romantic gondola serenade. (Continental breakfast/ Dinner) | | Day 8 | Venice | Savour the sights and sounds of this serene city as we take our canal cruise by vaporetto to St. Mark's Square, viewing the Bridge of Sighs. We visit a glass–blowing factory, then you are at leisure to shop or sightsee. (Continental breakfast/ Dinner) | | Day 9 | Venice | Today we drive inland to Shakespeare's Verona to admire the Roman Arena and see Juliet's balcony. Then via Milan to the Italian Lake District for two nights. (Continental breakfast/ Dinner) | | Day 10 | Lugano | This morning we take an excursion into Switzerland and the pretty resort of Lugano. Perhaps stroll along the lakeside promenades, pedalo on the lake and enjoy the wonderful mountain air, before we return to our hotel. (Continental breakfast/ Dinner) | | Day 11 | Italian Lakes | We cross theApennine Mountains coming to Genoa, Columbus' birthplace. Next on to Pisa to see the Leaning Tower before our arrival in Renaissance Florence. Florence was one of the liveliest and most creative cities in Europe, so today visitors can see some of the world's greatest works of art and most magnificent buildings. (Continental breakfast/ Dinner) | | Day 12 | Florence | This morning we enjoy a walking tour of Florence to see the marble Cathedral, Signoria Square, Santa Croce Basilica and Baptistry. Time to discover the artistic wonders of Donatello or Michelangelo and shop for leather and gold. Later, a scenic drive through the Chianti wine–producing region of Tuscany brings us to Siena.(Continental breakfast) | | Day 13 | Rome | Today an orientation of this medieval city, famous for the Palio horse race, reveals its rich artistic heritage. Later, we arrive back in Rome for our final night. (Continental breakfast) | | Day 14 | Return USA | 'Arrivederci' as you transfer to the airport for your return flight to the USA.
