Airport Transfers
Transfers will be provided only for
passengers who have booked our Land +
Air package. Group transfers on
arrival at Madrid Airport will operate
at 09:30 and 12:30. Return transfers
from the last hotel will arrive at
Madrid Airport at 08:30 and 11:30.
For passengers who book Trafalgar's
Land only package and who choose to
make their own flight arrangements, a
transfer will be provided at a charge
of $25 per person round trip. Your
Travel Agent must provide Trafalgar
accurate flight details no less than
21 days prior to tour departure and
must arrange your flights to coincide
with our specific arrival and
departure transfer times. If however,
you arrive outside the scheduled
transfer times, then you must make
your own alternative transfer
arrangements at your own expense.
Additional Visa Requirements
For NON–US citizens the visit to
Gibraltar is subject to British and
Spanish Visa requirements. These can
be obtained by your Travel Agent for a
fee, prior to leaving home.

The rest of your day is free perhaps to visit one of the museums. Tonight, after a welcome drink with our Tour Director, why not dine in one of the excellent restaurants lining Plaza Mayor? | | Day 3 | Cordoba | This morning we make our to the ancient capital of Castile, Toledo. On arrival our sightseeing tour visits the ancient Synagogue, the Church of Santo Tomé, a steel workshop and views the Cathedral. Then we head to Roman–founded Cordoba for dinner and overnight. (Buffet breakfast/ Dinner) | | Day 4 | Granada | Highlights of our morning sightseeing include the Mosque of the Caliphs and medieval Synagogue. Then past the Sierra Nevada Mountains to the grandeur of hilltop Granada, Spain's most beautiful Moorish–influenced city. Tonight, we enjoy an included dinner of local specialities whilst being serenaded. (Buffet breakfast/ Restaurant dinner in Granada) | | Day 5 | Costa del Sol | Morning sightseeing features a visit to the exquisite Alhambra Palace, former residence of Moorish Kings. From here we will continue towards Torremolinos, the most popular Mediterranean resort on the Costa del Sol for two relaxing nights. This evening, perhaps enjoy a delicious fish dinner in the oldest part of town. (Buffet breakfast) | | Day 6 | Costa del Sol | After breakfast enjoy a full day to relax. Why not lounge on the glorious sandy beaches, go on a shopping spree or people–watch from an open–air café? Maybe take an optional excursion to the pretty hilltop village of Mijas this afternoon. At cocktail hour, why not savour the atmosphere of a 'tapas' bar? (Buffet breakfast) | | Day 7 | Seville | After breakfast our day starts with a drive along the Costa del Sol past the millionaires' resort of Marbella and on to La Linea. Then we cross to the imposing Rock of Gibraltar, with time for duty free shopping. Next, on through the sherry wine region of Jerez to Seville for two nights. Tonight, why not enjoy a fiery Flamenco show after our dinner of local Andalusian specialities in a downtown restaurant? (Buffet breakfast/ Restaurant dinner in Seville) | | Day 8 | Seville | Today's morning sightseeing tour is dominated by the Bell Tower and weather vane of Giralda. We will also see the pools and fountains of Maria Luisa Park, Christopher Columbus' tomb and the Cathedral. Afterwards enjoy some time on your own in this city steeped in Moorish history and culture. (Buffet breakfast/ Dinner) | | Day 9 | Lisbon | We drive via Jabugo (ham centre) of Spain, past mighty castles including a fine example at Aracena, before entering the Alentejo region of Portugal with its many cork forests. On to Lisbon, the capital, where tonight, you may wish to dine on local specialties. (Buffet breakfast) | | Day 10 | Lisbon | After breakfast we see the Monument to the Great Explorers, the beautiful suspension bridge across the Tagus and admire views of the Belem Tower on our morning sightseeing tour. Later, time at leisure, perhaps to shop for pottery, cork and fishermen's sweaters in the nearby fishing village of Cascais. Or maybe try a lunchtime snack at one of the 'tasca' bars. (Buffet breakfast) | | Day 11 | Salamanca | We enjoy a morning scenic drive via the Magnificent Serra d'Aire Mountains to visit the Shrine at Fatima, scene of celebrated religious miracles. From here we drive across the border and back into Spain to Salamanca. On our arrival an orientation tour shows us the Plaza Mayor. (Buffet breakfast/ Dinner) | | Day 12 | Madrid | Today we travel through the Sierra de Guadarrama Mountains before we return to Madrid, Europe's highest capital city. This evening, time is your own to perhaps try traditional paella or roast suckling pig specialities for dinner. Note: dining is late and nightlife carries on till dawn. (Buffet breakfast) | | Day 13 | Madrid | Our morning sightseeing tour includes the Royal Palace, Puerta del Sol and Cervantes Memorial as well as a guided visit of the world–famous Prado Museum with its fine paintings by Velazquez and Goya among others. The rest of your day is at leisure perhaps to shop for leather, lace or porcelain – Lladro is half the price of anywhere back home. Or you may wish to take an excursion to the monastery–palace of Philip II at El Escorial. This evening, why not join your fellow travellers in a farewell dinner? (Buffet breakfast) | | Day 14 | Return USA | Time to bid farewell as we transfer to the airport for your return flight to America. (Buffet breakfast) |
