Airport Transfers
Transfers will be provided only for
passengers who have booked our Land +
Air package. Group transfers on arrival
at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport will
operate at
09:30 and 13:00. Return transfers from
the last hotel will arrive at Paris
Charles de Gaulle
Airport at 08:00.
For passengers who choose to make their
own flight arrangements, a transfer
will
be provided at a charge of $25 per
person round trip. Your Travel Agent
must provide Trafalgar accurate flight
details no less that 21 days prior to
tour departure and must arrange your
flight to coincide with our specific
arrival and departure transfer times.
If however, you arrive outside the
scheduled transfer times, then you must
make your own alternative transfer
arrangements at your own expense.

| | | Day | Destination | Description | | Day 1 | Depart USA | Overnight transatlantic flight to Paris. | | Day 2 |  Paris | On arrival in Paris you are met at the airport and transferred to your hotel. After a welcome meeting with your Tour Director you have time to relax and explore this beautiful city. | | Day 3 | Lyon | Today we travel on the Auto–route du Soleil to the medieval town of Beaune in the famous wine region of Burgundy. Later, we arrive in Lyon, home of a thousand gastronomic specialities. (Continental breakfast) | | Day 4 | Nice | A scenic morning drive along the valley of the River Rhône brings us to Avignon. Here we see the Palace of the Popes and St. Benezet Bridge before heading to the 'Pont du Gard' to view the Roman aqueduct. Then to the French Riviera, where we arrive in the resort of Nice.(Continental breakfast/ Dinner) | | Day 5 | Monte Carlo | A full day free to enjoy the sophisticated atmosphere of the Côte d'Azur. Laze on the beach and sip cocktails in a shady terraced bar, or perhaps shop in the elegant boutiques. Tonight's highlight is an included excursion along the coast to the Principality of Monaco where we see the famous Monte Carlo casinos. (Continental breakfast) | | Day 6 | Montpellier | This morning after breakfast, we drive through Cannes to see the Film Festival Centre. Then we head for the Roman city of Nîmes to see the Roman Arena, Maison Carré and city gardens. On to Montpellier for overnight. (Continental breakfast/ Dinner) | | Day 7 | Bayonne | This morning we cross to Carcassonne for a short orientation of this medieval town. Then west to the pilgrimage site of Lourdes, to see the basilica on top of St. Bernadette's grotto. We arrive at Biarritz – an exclusive resort on the Atlantic Coast with a chance to stop in the elegant casino before going on to our hotel in Bayonne, capital of the French Basque country . (Continental breakfast/ Dinner) | | Day 8 | Bordeaux | This morning perhaps enjoy a swim, or how about a trip up a nearby mountain peak? Later, we head across the rolling country of Les Landes to classical Bordeaux. Then an included excursion takes us to visit the hilltop town of St. Emilion in the heart of the wine country. (Continental breakfast/ Dinner) | | Day 9 | Tours | A morning departure from Bordeaux takes us across the vineyards to Cognac where we visit a brandy distillery. Then we drive past the strange buildings of Futuroscope at Poiters en route to Tours for our two–night stay.(Continental breakfast/ Dinner) | | Day 10 | Châteaux | Today begins with a visit to the charming palace of Chenonceau, straddling the River Cher. Next through verdant countryside we stop to visit to the imposing castle at Amboise, where Leonardo da Vinci is buried. Later, we view the beauty of the enormous castle of Chambord before returning to our hotel. Tonight, why not try some typical 'Touraine' cuisine? (Continental breakfast) | | Day 11 | Deauville | Today we travel via Le Mans, famous for its 24–hour car race. From here we reach the fortified town of Fougères and continue to Mont St. Michel, where we visit the island town and view its Abbey. Next we visit the D–Day Landing Beaches, before arriving at our Normandy hotel in Deauville. (Continental breakfast/ Dinner) | | Day 12 | Paris | We drive along the Normandy Coast to the picturesque harbour at Honfleur, summer haunt of the Impressionist Painters. Later, we continue to Rouen, where Joan of Arc was burnt at the stake, before arriving in fun–filled Paris, the 'City of Light'.
(Continental breakfast) | | Day 13 | Paris | This morning we enjoy views of the Eiffel Tower, Champs Elysées, Louvre and Notre Dame Cathedral. The rest of your day is at leisure. Paris has something for everyone. Maybe visit the Pompidou Centre, view the famous Art treasures of the Louvre, or relax at a pavement café? This evening, why not sample Paris nightlife!(Continental breakfast) | | Day 14 | Return USA | After breakfast it's 'au revoir' Paris as we transfer you to the airport for your return flight to the USA. (Continental breakfast) |
