Airport Transfers
Transfers will be provided only for
passengers who have booked our Land +
Air package. Group transfers on arrival
at Madrid Airport will operate at
09:30 and 12:30. Return transfers from
the last hotel will arrive at Madrid
Airport at 08:30 and 11:30.
For passengers who choose to make
their
own flight arrangements, a transfer
will
be provided at a charge of $25 per
person round trip. Your Travel Agent
must provide Trafalgar accurate flight
details no less that 21 days prior to
tour departure and must arrange your
flight to coincide with our specific
arrival and departure transfer times.
If however, you arrive outside the
scheduled transfer times, then you
must
make your own alternative transfer
arrangements at your own expense.

| | | Day | Destination | Description | | Day 1 | Depart USA | Overnight transatlantic flight to Madrid. | | Day 2 | Madrid | On arrival, you will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel. Then a chance to unwind and relax before exploring the lively Spanish capital. Tonight, why not try the traditional dish of paella in one of the many restaurants lining the Plaza Mayor? | | Day 3 | Granada | After breakfast we drive to ancient Toledo. Here a local guide shows us the capital of Castile, viewing the Cathedral, ancient synagogue and visiting a Toledo steel workshop. Then on through Andalusia to the Moorish hilltop town of Granada, with spectacular views of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Maybe take a trip to visit the Alhambra Palace. (Continental breakfast/ Dinner) | | Day 4 | Costa del Sol | We enjoy an orientation tour in Granada, before continuing to the pretty Andalusian village of Mijas, in the hills of the Costa del Sol. Tonight, why not take a leisurely stroll or go down to the coast to try out one of the seafood restaurants? (Continental breakfast) | | Day 5 | Costa del Sol | Our day begins with a scenic coastal drive to Algeciras for the ferry to North Africa. Then we drive into a different world as we enter Morocco, passing the Rif Mountains to the Imperial city of Fez for our six–night stay in Africa! Tonight, why not take an excursion to see Moroccan belly–dancing? (Continental breakfast) | | Day 6 | Fez | Our morning sight–seeing includes the Royal Palace and the labrynthine Medina. We enjoy the atmosphere of this exotic city with time to haggle over beautiful Moroccan carpets – an everlasting souvenir! Then, why not relax by the hotel pool and, later take a stroll under star–studded skies?(Continental breakfast/ Dinner) | | Day 7 | Marrakesh | This morning a breathtaking drive takes us through the foothills of the Atlas Mountains to the city of Marrakesh, Africa's most popular year–round sun resort. It was once the favourite holiday spot of Winston Churchill, a haven where he used to relax and paint.(Continental breakfast/ Dinner) | | Day 8 | Marrakesh | Our morning sightseeing includes the Bahia Palace and the vast Djemma el F'na Square with its palm–readers, acrobats, camels, and more! Then free time for bargain hunting in the many souks and bazaars or perhaps take an excursion to a Berber village in the Ourika Valley. (Continental breakfast) | | Day 9 | Casablanca | Today on to Casablanca, scene of Bogart's most magical moments. We find some of North Africa's best beaches here. Here our tour takes us for a panoramic drive of the Corniche, views the Mosque and the modern sections of the city. Then we visit the Casbah with its maze of twisted streets.Later time to explore the romantic city and its Bogart association. (Continental breakfast/ Dinner) | | Day 10 | Tangier | This morning we drive along the Atlantic Coast to Rabat, capital of this fascinating country, were we see the Mausoleum on orientation. Then on to Tangier, where orientation shows us the Cape Spartel, the point where the Atlantic meets the Mediterranean.(Continental breakfast/ Dinner) | | Day 11 | Seville | Today we take a ferry to Algeciras. Crossing the Straits of Gibraltar, we enjoy views of the famous Rock, before driving through Jerez vineyards, home of sherry. Next, we make our way to Andalusia's most beautiful city, Seville. Tonight, why not enjoy a fiery flamenco show in one of the many lively night spots?(Continental breakfast/ Dinner) | | Day 12 | Seville | This romantic city was deeply influenced by the Moors, hence the architecture of Giralda Tower, included on our sightseeing tour along with the pools and fountains of the Maria Luisa Park.Later time at leisure to wander the streets of the former Jewish quarter.(Continental breakfast/ Dinner) | | Day 13 | Lisbon | We drive through the cork tree of the Alentejo region to the Portuguese border. On via Setúbal to the capital of Portugal, Lisbon. Tonight, why not spend the evening dining on local specialities and drinking young wines, whilst listening to haunting Fado melodies along the Bairro Alto? (Continental breakfast) | | Day 14 | Lisbon | Our morning sightseeing shows us Vasco da Gama's Tomb inside the Hieronymite Monastery, the medieval quarter of the city and views of the Belem Tower. The rest of your day is at leisure to maybe take an excursion to nearby Cascais, where you can shop for cork and fishermen's sweaters. (Continental breakfast) | | Day 15 | Salamanca | Today we enjoy a scenic morning drive through the Serra d'Aire Mountains en route to the Shrine at Fatima, scene of celebrated religious miracles. Then we cross the border back into Spain en route to Salamanca for dinner and our overnight stay. (Continental breakfast/ Dinner) | | Day 16 | Madrid | Magnificent but arid countryside glides past our coach windows as we travel to Avila, birthplace of St. Teresa to see the mighty fortifications. On past the Sierra de Guadarrama as we return to Madrid where we enjoy a sightseeing tour including the Royal Palace, Puerta de Sol and the Cervantes Memorial. Tonight, why not try the varied nightlife and dine in one of the many restaurants?(Continental breakfast) | | Day 17 | Return USA | This morning after breakfast, you are transferred to the airport for your return flight to the USA. (Continental breakfast) |
