Airport Transfers
Trafalgar has
included a free transfer to and from
your London airport and Central London.
Your transfer will be via an express
train link from London Heathrow Airport
to Paddington Station on the Heathrow
Rail Express, and from London Gatwick
Airport to Victoria Station on the
Gatwick Rail Express. Gatwick Express
takes 30 minutes and Heathrow Express
takes only 15 minutes compared to the
one hour plus journey by coach! From
Paddington or Victoria it's a short and
inexpensive journey by taxi to your
London hotel.
Airport/Central London Railway
Station/Airport: Only one included
transfer both inbound and outbound per
tour is included by Trafalgar.
Transfers are by express train to a
Central London Rail Station. From
Central London it's a short and
inexpensive journey by taxi to your
hotel. Heathrow Express operates
between 05:10 – 23:30. Gatwick Express
operates inbound services between
05:20 – 23:45 and outbound services
from 04:30 – 23:45. Transfers out
these
times are at passengers own expense.
For passengers who choose to make
their
own flight arrangements, a transfer
will
be provided at a charge of $25 per
person round trip. Your Travel Agent
must provide Trafalgar accurate flight
details no less that 21 days prior to
tour departure and must arrange your
flight to coincide with our specific
arrival and departure transfer times.
If however, you arrive outside the
scheduled transfer times, then you
must
make your own alternative transfer
arrangements at your own expense.

| | | Day | Destination | Description | | Day 1 | Depart USA | Overnight transatlantic flight to London. | | Day 2 |  London | Time to relax after checking into your Trafalgar hotel. | | Day 3 | London | Today is at leisure to explore Britain's capital. (Continental breakfast) | | Day 4 | Brussels | After a warm welcome from our Tour Director, we drive through Kent countryside to Dover for the short sea crossing to Calais in France. From here we continue to Brussels, the capital of Belgium. Tonight, why not take a stroll to the Grand' Place? (Continental breakfast) | | Day 5 | Wurzburg | We cross into Germany, where the tranquil scenery of castles and hillside vineyards drift by on our Rhine cruise. We see the Lorelei Rock before heading to Wurburg in Bavaria. We will admire the view over the city from this vantage point before dinner in our hotel. (Continental breakfast/ Dinner) | | Day 6 | Prague | We drive to the Czech border and then cross the unduling hills of the Czech countryside to Pilsen. Now it is a short drive to Prague, where sightseeing with a local guide features Hradcany Castle, the Cathedral of St. Vitus and the Old Town Square. Tonight after dinner why not enjoy the delights of this ancient city at night. (Continental breakfast/ Dinner) | | Day 7 | Vienna | Time for some last minute shopping for bargains in Bohemian crystal or perhaps to enjoy some delicious beer in one of the cafes in the old town, before departing for Austria via the carp lakes of Trebon. We cross the border near the Austrian village of Schrems and soon arrive in Vienna. (Continental breakfast) | | Day 8 | Vienna | Our morning sightseeing tour highlights the Imperial Boulevards, the Opera, Parliament and Hofburg Palace. Then time on your own. Why not head for Kärntnerstrasse and sample the delights of a Viennese coffee house or enjoy a waltz concert. (Continental breakfast) | | Day 9 | Venice | Today we see vistas of ancient castles, mountains and lakes as we leave the Danube Plains. We travel to Klagenfurt and the Lake District of Carinthia. Then into Italy we descend to the Adriatic Coast to arrive in romantic Venice. (Continental breakfast/ Dinner) | | Day 10 | Venice | All around us are vivid reminders of Venetian medieval maritime power and wealth. As we cruise along the criss–crossing canals, we visit a glass–blowing factory and later, at leisure, you may wish to visit St. Mark's Basilica and cruise to the islands of the Lagoon. (Continental breakfast/ Dinner) | | Day 11 | Venice | Today we cross the delta of the River Po on our journey south. On through the Apennine Mountains sprinkled with small towns and villages and reach the bustling excitement of Rome. Romans live and love life to the full – so when in Rome…! (Continental breakfast) | | Day 12 | Rome | Morning sightseeing shows us the Forum, Colosseum and St. Peter's Basilica in the Vatican City. Then free time perhaps to relax and watch the world go by from a pavement café or shop by the Spanish Steps. Tonight, why not dine out in one of the trattorias in the ancient Trastevere District? (Continental breakfast) | | Day 13 | Florence | This morning we drive through Tuscany to Renaissance Florence. There's time at leisure where you can see, among other things, the Cathedral, Giotto's Bell Tower, the Baptistry and Signoria Square. Later we gain a panoramic view of the city from Piazzale Michelangelo, then why not shop for leather and gold in the area around Santa Croce, before dinner at the hotel tonight? (Continental breakfast/ Dinner) | | Day 14 | Lake Lucerne | Today our route lies north, through the mountains towards Bologna and across the plains of Lombardy to Milan. We climb into the foothills of the great Alps, admiring views over the Italian Lakes. Then, soon we enter Switzerland and drive ever upwards amidst the spectacular snow–capped peaks to reach the St. Gotthard Tunnel. Next we descend through the valleys of the Swiss countryside to beautiful Lake Lucerne. (Continental breakfast/ Dinner) | | Day 15 | Lucerne | There are so many choices for your day in Lucerne! You will see the famous Lion Monument and the colourful streets of the medieval Old Town. Later, spend some time shopping for jewellery, watches or famous–name chocolates, and don't miss the chance to ascend a nearby mountain by cog railway and cable car! At lunchtime, why not enjoy a Swiss Folklore show? (Continetal breakfast/ Dinner) | | Day 16 | Paris | This morning we drive to Basel on the River Rhine.There are vestiges of the Maginot line before we continue through the wine–producing region of Burgundy to the French capital – Paris. (Continental breakfast) | | Day 17 | Paris | Our sightseeing includes a visit to Notre Dame Cathedral and views of the Arc de Triomphe and Champs Elysées. At leisure why not detour into the intriguing back streets of the Latin Quarter or take an excursion to Montmartre and the Sacré Coeur? This city's nightlife is world famous – your Tour Director can advise you where the best value can be obtained. (Continental breakfast) | | Day 18 | London | 'Au revoir Paris' as we head for the coast and Calais. Here a short sea crossing brings us to England. Then by coach we drive through Kent, the 'Garden of England', back to London at the end of a memorable tour. (Continental breakfast) | | Day 19 | Return USA | Bid farewell on your return flight to the USA. (Continental breakfast) |
