For passengers who book Trafalgar's
Land only package and who choose to
make their own flight arrangements, a
transfer will be provided at a charge
of $25 per person round trip. Your
Travel Agent must provide Trafalgar
accurate flight details no less than
21 days prior to tour departure and
must arrange your flights to coincide
with our specific arrival and
departure transfer times. If however,
you arrive outside the scheduled
transfer times, then you must make
your own alternative transfer

| | | Day | Destination | Description | | Day 1 | Depart USA | Overnight flight to Paris. | | Day 2 | Paris | You are met on arrival in Paris and transferred to your hotel. Time to relax before meeting our Tour Director for a Welcome drink. Tonight why not go out for dinner in a left bank bistro? | | Day 3 | Paris | Today's sightseeing includes views of the Champs Elysees, the Arc de Triomphe and Place de la Concorde, as well as a scenic cruise on the Seine with views of the Notre Dame Cathedral and many other monuments. We also ascend the Eiffel Tower to the second level by elevator for awe–inspiring views. (Buffet breakfast) | | Day 4 | Rhineland | Today we travel east to visit a Champagne cellar and taste some of the latest vintage! Then we cross World War I Battlefields to the Principality of Luxembourg and its capital city. Orientation shows us the Cathedral of Our Lady, the Grand Ducal Palace and General Patton's grave. Next across to the German border and our hotel in the Rhine Valley. (Buffet breakfast/ Dinner) | | Day 5 | Rhineland | Our first stop in Heidelberg, to view its mighty castle overlooking the University City. On through the Black Forest to the Rhine Falls at Schaffhausen in Switzerland. Finally a scenic drive brings us to Lake Lucerne and the alpine resort of Engelberg for two nights. (Buffet Breakfast/ Dinner) | | Day 6 | Lucerne | We drive to nearby Lucerne where an orientation of this medieval city shows us the Kapellbrucke, the wooden Chapel Bridge, the Jesuit Church and of course the Lion Monument.Then free time, perhaps to take a trip up a nearby mountain and maybe enjoy a Swiss folklore show. (Buffet Breakfast/ Dinner) | | Day 7 | Innsbruck | We travel over the mountainstowards Zurich Lake and past the Walensee to Vaduz the capital of the Principality of Liechtenstein. After time to shop for collectors stamps and other souvenirs we head to the Austrian border at Feldkirch and drive through the region of the Arlberg to the Tyrol, stopping in mountain – ringed Innsbruck. Here orientation shows us the Olympic ski–jump, the Wilten Basilica and of course, the Golden Roof in the old town. With free time perhaps shop for some local Swarovski crystal. (Buffet breakfast / Dinner) | | Day 8 | Venice | Over the Brenner Pass to the Italian border, we drive into the Dolomites en route to magical Venice. Enjoy an excellent introduction by private launch as we cruise along the Giudecca Canal to see St. Mark' Basilica, the Doges' Palace and Bridge of Sighs. A short stroll will bring us to one of the oldest Murano glass workshops, where we will witness a demonstration of the ancient craft of glass–blowing. Then free time. Why not experience a gondola ride or simply sip a 'cappuccino' in St. Mark's Square – the most beautiful outdoor drawing room in Europe?(Buffet breakfast/ Dinner) | | Day 9 | Venice | We drive along the Autostrada del Sole and over the Apennine Mountains into Tuscany and through Chianti vineyards. Later on through the Umbrian countryside to Rome, the 'Eternal City'. (Buffet breakfast) | | Day 10 | Rome | Our morning sightseeing includes a visit to St. Peter's in the Vatican, a stop at the Forum to view the Colosseum and views of the Circus Maximus.The rest of your day is free to sightsee further or relax at a sidewalk cafe. (Buffet breakfast) | | Day 11 | Italian Riviera | Today we drive to Florence where an included sightseeing tour on foot with a local guide shows us the Duomo, Piazza Signoria, and visits the Santa Croce Basilica and the Academy of fine Arts where we view Michelangelo's statue of 'David'.Afterwards we drive towards the coast to Pisa.Here we see the Leaning Tower with time to visit the marble Cathedral and the Baptistry.Later, along the Ligurian Coast and past the quarries of Carrara to the Italian Rivera and the resport of Santa Margherita. (Buffet breakfast/ Dinner) | | Day 12 | Cannes | A morning drive past Genoa to the border with France at Ventimiglia. We arrive in the Principality of Monaco to visit the Old Town. We admire the Palace of the Grimaldis and visit the Cathedral where Princess Grace is buried before continuing our spectacular drive to Nice. Here we drive to the Promenade des Anglais, famous for its beaches and 19th century architecture. Next on to classy Cannes. (Buffet breakfast) | | Day 13 | Barcelona | Today we drive alond the Boulevard de la Croisette,famous for its beaches,film Festival Centre. Then we head into the countryside passing St.Maximin's Basilica into the Camargue. We stop briefly at Arles, where Van Gogh spent the latter days of this life, en route to Spain's border at La Jonquera. Soon we arrive in Barcelona where this evening we will enjoy dinner in a specially selected local restaurant (Buffet breakfast/ restaurant dinner in Barcelona) | | Day 14 | Barcelona | Today our guided sightseeing tour reveals the art–nouveau fantasies of Gaudi's 'Sagrada Familia', the Gothic Quarter, the Ramblas and the Paseo de Gracia. Tonight, why not enter into the Spanish spirit at a fiery Flamenco show? (Buffet breakfast) | | Day 15 | Madrid | Our first stop is Zaragonza to see the impressive Cathedral, known as 'El Pilar'. Next we drive past the Guadarrama Mountains and on to Spain's capital, Madrid. Tonight, why not join the 'madrilenos' and spend the night out 'on the town'? (Buffer breakfast) | | Day 16 | Madrid | Today's morning sightseeing tour highlights the Plaza de Espana, with the memorial to Caervantes, the Paseo de la Castellana, the Cibeles Foutain and a guided visit of the Prado Museum with its many great works by Velasquez. The rest of the day is free to perhaps visit nearby Toledo or shop for the latest fashions. This evening, why not get together for some 'tapas' with your traveling companions and enjoy the old–world atomosphere of the Plaza Mayor?
