Sightseeing Highlights
Jerusalem Sightseeing includes Hadassah Medical Centre, Yad Vashem and the Dead Sea Scrolls in the Israel Museum. Sightseeing of Jerusalem includes the Dome of the Rock, the Wailing Wall and the Via Dolarosa. Visit the Mount of Olives and Mount Scopus. Please Note: For operational reasons, the Hadassah Medical Centre may be closed for certain departures. Mount Zion Visit the tomb of King David. Dead Sea Excursion including a visit to the Fortress of Massada. Capernaum See the old synagogue and the Mount of Beatitudes Tiberias Visit this lovely resort town. Nazareth Visit the Church of the Annunciation. Meggido See the excavating of Solomon's Stables Golan Heights See the former Syrian bunkers, Kunietra and the new Israeli town of Katzin. Airport Transfers
Tel Aviv Airport Transfers are provided on day 2 and day 10 of the tour. Transfers will be provided only for passengers who have booked our Land + Air package. For passengers who book Trafalgar's Land only package and who choose to make their own flight arrangements, a transfer will be provided at a charge of $25 per person round trip. Your Travel Agent must provide Trafalgar accurate flight details no less than 21 days prior to tour departure and must arrange your flights to coincide with our specific arrival and departure transfer dates. If however, you arrive outside the scheduled transfer dates, then you must make your own alternative transfer arrangements at your own expense.

| | | Day | Destination | Description | | Day 1 | Depart USA | Overnight flight to Tel Aviv. | | Day 2 |  Jerusalem | On arrival in Tel Aviv, you are transferred from Ben Gurion Airport to your hotel in Jerusalem. The remainder of the day is at leisure to relax or maybe sightsee before a welcome drink with your Trafalgar Representative tonight. | | Day 3 | New City of Jerusalem | This morning after breakfast we drive to Hadassah Medical Centre* at Ein Kerem to see the Chagall stained glass windows. From here we make our way on to Yad Vashem, the Memorial to the six million martyrs of World War II. Then in the Israel Museum we will visit the Shrine of the Book where theDead Sea Scrolls are housed. Next on to see the Knesset, Israel's Parliament and the Givat Ram Campus of Hebrew University. Your eveing is at leisure. (Israeli Breakfast) | | Day 4 | The Old City of Jerusalem | This morning after breakfast we visit the Tomb of King David and the room of the Last Supper on Mount Zion before reaching the Old City of Jerusalem. Here we walk through the newly restored Jewish Quarter to the Western Wall where we see the ornate Dome of the Rock. Later, by foot, along the Via Dolorosa, we follow the Stations of the Cross to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Later we stop at Mount Scopus and the Mount of Olives for a magnificent view of the Old City. (Israeli Breakfast) | | Day 5 | Jerusalem | A full day at leisure in this fascinating city. Why not shop in the oriental markets and sample the local cuisine? (Israeli Breakfast) | | Day 6 | Kibbutz | Today our journey takes us through the Judean Desert to the Dead Sea, the lowest spot on earth passing Qumran to view the site where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found. From here we drive along the shores of the Dead Sea to Massada where we ascend by cable car, to tour the ancient fortress where the Zealots made their last stand against the Romans. Next we will explore the excavations of Herod's Palace, time permitting, theres's a chance to float on the Dead Sea. From here we will continue to our Kibbutz for dinner and overnight stay. (Israeli Breakfast/ Dinner) | | Day 7 | Kibbutz | Today we drive to Capernaum, the old town of Jesus, and to lovely Tiberias. Off to Nazareth to visit the Church of Annunication. Then we're off to Meggido to see the excavating of Solomon's Stables, revealing the layers of civilization. We continue to the Golan Heights to see former Syrian bunkers, Kunietra and the new Israeli town of Katzrin before we drive back to our Kibbutz for dinner and overnight.
(Israeli Breakfast/ Dinner) | | Day 8 | Tzfat | After breakfast our first stop is at Tzfat, to visit the ancient synagogue and Artists' colony. We continue to Acre to visit the Crypt of St. John and the underground crusader city. Next we make our way to Haifa, at the summit of Mount Carme to admire the breathtaking views of the Bahai Shrine. Then we will visit the exotic Persian Gardens and the port area, before heading to Caesarea to viewthe Roman status and aqueduct plus the Roman theatre. Our day ends in Tel Aviv. Tonight, why not sample nightlife in this fascinationg and colourful seaside city? (Israeli Breakfast) | | Day 9 | Tel Aviv | After breakfast enjoy a full day at leisure to explore this vibrant and exciting city. You may wish to visit the Diaspora Museum. (Israeli Breakfast) | | Day 10 | Return USA | We transfer you to Tel Aviv Airport for your return flight to America.
