  USA – Vienna. Overnight flight to Vienna.



• Day 2
  Vienna. Savor the caotivating Barque elegance of the romantic "City of Waltzes". During your coach toru around Ringstrasse, you will see the Hofburg Palace, impressive Vienna State Opera House, City Hall and Austria Parliament. Then a walking tour to the heart of Vienna to St.Stephen's Cathedral. This afternoon, you are free to stroll along the shop–lined, pedestrian–only Karntnerstrass and sample some of Vienna's famous pastries. (Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner)



• Day 3
  Melk –Vienna. Cruise through the narrow Strudengau to Melk for a tour of the magnificent Benedictine Abbey. Then your ship sails through the romantic Wachau Valley, the most beautiful river region in Austria, dotted with castles, vineyards and charming riverside towns. The River Duchess continues on her way to Vienna, arriving in time to attend an optional concert of Strauss and Mozart music. (Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner)



• Day 4
  Passau. Arrive this morning in Passua, where the Inn and llz rivers join the Danube. During your walking through the Old Town, you will see the Itlian and Renaissance influence and stlye of the builfings. Your tour continues through the breathraking Cathedral of St.Stephan, which contains the world's church pipe organ. Spend the afternoon in Passau. Cruise overnight to Austria. • Day 5
  Kelheim – Regensburg. Early this morning your ship glides through the tranquil Altmuhl Valley and enters the Danube River at Kelheim. This afternoon, disembark for a guided stroll around historic Regensburg, widely regarded as the medieval wonder of Germany; the city's unque state of preservation is a living witness to two thousand years of rich and colorful history. (Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner)



• Day 6
  Nuremberg. Enjoy a guided tour of this historic imperial city with its ancient city walls. Nuremberg's Gothic churches, historic monuments and elegant patrician houses tell the tale of a wealthy and educated populace. At lunchtime, continue your cruise through the hihest point of any commercial waterway in Europe – 1,332 feet above sea level. Then descend through stair–step locaks to riedenburg, where you will spend the night. (Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner)



• Day 7
  Bamberg. Arrive in Bamberg and enjoy a leisurely walking tour of this architctural gem, listed by UNESCO. Marvel at Renaissance palaces, Baroque houses and a breathtaking cathedral. Bamberg is one of Germany's most beautiful cities. After a pleasant drive through the Franconian countryside, reboard your ship and acruise to Nuremberg. (Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner)



• Day 8
  Optional, Rothenburg. Enjoy a full day of cruising through the sunny valleys of the meandering Main. Pass picturesque towns like Kitzingen before arriving late in the evening in Schweinfurt. Alternatively, you may take an optional overland tour to Rothenburg, Europe's most perfect fairy–tale town, with gingerbread houses and ancient city walls. Tour the city and enjoy lucnh in a local restaurant. There will be time to shop before returning to the ship for dinner. (Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner)



• Day 9
  Miltenberg – Wurzburg. A walking tour of this old Franconian town reveals cobblestone streets lined with gabled, half– timbered houses. From Miltenberg, a motor coach will take you to the beautiful town of Wertheim, where you will board the ship for lunch. This afternoon, tour Wurzburg and visit the magnificent Prince Bishop's Residenz Palace before returning to the ship in the late afternoon. (Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner)



• Day 10
  Heidelberg. Disembark in Frankfurt for a scenic drive to Heidelberg, the oldest university town in Germany. Tour the romantic ruins of the ancient castle, overlooking the pictureque Neckar Valley. Local guides will lead you through the historic city center, followed by lunch in a local restaurant. Rjoin the ship and cruise to Miltenberg where the ship overnights. • Day 11
  Koblenz – Rudesheim. This morning, be on deck to see the most beautiful part of the Rhine River. You will pass castle upon castle and the infamous Lorelei Rock. This afternoon, arrive in the little wine village of Rudesheim, where you will travel by mini–train from the ship, to visit Siegfried's Mechanical Musical Instrument Museum. Return to the ship via the Drosseglasse, a narrow alley lined with wine taverns and restaurants. After dinner, you could sample the lcoal vintage ashore. (Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner)



• Day 12
  Crusing – Cologne. The morning finds you cruising on the legendary Rhine. Across the Dutch– German border, peaceful meadows and picturesque little towns await. In Cologne, the ship dock near the fabled cathedral, which you will tour this afternoon. In the evening you could take a stroll through the nearby Old Town. (Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner)



• Day 13
  Amsterdam. Arrive and transfer to the River Duchess, your luxurious floating hotel, conveniently docked near the Central Railway Station, not far from many of the city's attractions. Enjoy the balance of the day at leisure. Tonight, meet your fellow travelers at the welcome onboard dinner. (Dinner)



• Day 14
  Amsterdam – USA. Disembark and transfer to the airport for your flight home. (Breakfast)
